The 2018 Staff Conference & Excellence Awards took place in Coventry on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th June.
The theme of the conference was “175 Years of Excellence – the Coventry Way,” and was named so to mark a significant milestone in our development and growth since first establishing an educational presence in the city in 1843.
It was right and proper that we marked the occasion and reflect upon our achievements. We have made great progress over the years and our work continues to be recognised within the sector and beyond, most recently in the shortlisting for the Teaching excellence category at the Guardian University Awards 2018, which took place in April.
During the 2-day conference, we celebrated the great work being done by staff teams across the university group in the UK and internationally. The conference provided an opportunity for colleagues to share best practice, communicate and collaborate through a variety of workshops, key note presentations, and panel discussions.
The conference culminated with the annual Excellence Awards, a vibrant celebration in recognition of those teams whose practice and commitment to the University Group has been exemplary and whose success was celebrated at this prestigious event.
